The Stop Trump Dictatorship Project

During the 2024 election, Progressive Source produced and marketed a series of videos for the Stop Trump Dictatorship Project. The project is a campaign of Progressive Source PAC, a political action committee started by Progressive Source Communications CEO and Founder, Jonathan Greenberg.

The project’s first video produced by Progressive Source was “Dems Vote Haley.” The video was released in February with the goal of convincing Democratic voters in South Carolina to vote for GOP candidate Nicki Haley in the state’s Republican primary. The longer that Haley stayed in the race, the more damage would be done to Trump and the Republican party.

As reported in Politico, for less than $10,000, the video reached 200,000 people in the blue-leaning counties of South Carolina, with 400,000 views. A majority of viewers watched the entire 71 second video. Haley went from a February 15 poll average of a 36 point loss to a loss of just 20 points just nine days later. The Associated Press estimated that 19% of Haley voters, or about 57,000 people, were Democrats.

In May, Progressive Source began producing videos focused on the general election. We have produced four topical videos:

Are You a Patriot or a Hatriot

Why Voting for Kennedy West or Stein Will Help Elect Trump

Four Ways Trump’s Fascist Dictatorship Will Ruin Women’s Lives

Busting Trump’s Big Lie of a Stolen Election

These videos have been viewed two million times on twitter and 300,000 times on YouTube, where they are marketed to swing state voters.

We also produced an About Us video and an explainer video on the project’s marketing strategy.

Progressive Source has helped to market these videos exclusively on YouTube, which is watched by more American’s daily than cable news. Our low cost strategy is to reach swing state voters with compelling content that appears as ads when they are “leaning back”  to watch other content, like music, sports, or comedy videos. Because YouTube only charges for viewers who watch for more than 30 seconds, our marketing methodology allows a more fully baked political narrative (90 seconds vs. 30 second TV or radio ads) at a cost of as little as 1% per engaged viewer as traditional TV advertising.

Progressive Source and the Stop Trump Dictatorship Project are currently producing additional video content to release during the fall.
